After a terrible house fire suffered last year, where the owners of a Ridge home lost two of Middle Island’s Wooded Acres Animal Hospital’s canine patients to smoke inhalation, Dr. Jennifer Iannacone has since taken it upon herself and her practice to make sure that never happens again. In doing so, she ordered 10 oxygen masks in three different sizes made specifically for animals, to donate to the local fire and ambulance departments, including Middle Island, Coram and Ridge. Each mask is about $75.
