Teeny Awards revisited

Posted

For the past 12 years, the Teeny Awards has celebrated theatre students in the Town of Islip. This year, due to the pandemic, some schools put on virtual shows while others opted to postpone their performances to next year. In order to still celebrate each high school program, the Islip Arts Council created the “Teeny Awards Revisited,” which celebrates each high school program with individualized segments from productions and performances from students.

The celebration for Bay Shore High School was recently released and features excerpts from the murder-mystery comedy “The Night I Died at the Palace Theatre,” performances from students, and words from town supervisor Angie Carpenter and Legis. Steve Flotteron.

The video can be viewed on the Islip Arts Council YouTube page.

“Teeny Awards Revisited” premieres 7 p.m.  (All videos can be viewed after the premiere date on the Islip Arts Council YouTube.)
