St. Mark’s hosts food drive with Girl Scout troop

They worked hard while bringing joy, energy and enthusiasm. The East Islip Girl Scout Troop 2425, together with other kids, James Pearsall, Breanna Questel, Reyna Boyd and twins Thomas and Lynnea Martinez, joined adults to sort, pack and collect food donations for God’s Provision.

Thousands of donations came from both parishioners and non-parishioners alike.  There were even people who drove down the street, looked to see what was being done, stopped to talk to the organizers and ran to the supermarket to make donations.

All the kids really got into the spirit and worked hard by sorting, packing, collecting and waving and showing signs to draw people in!

The next food drive at St. Mark’s Episcopal in Islip is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
