St. Mark’s food drive fills 25 boxes

Despite out-of-control inflation and astronomical gas prices, the St. Mark’s food drive on June 11 managed to fill 25 boxes. All food donations went to God’s Provision, an affiliate of LI Cares-The Harry Chapin Food Bank. People dropped off their food donations and went into the health fair.  All was complimentary, including blood pressure checks by registered nurses; glucose monitoring by the Stony Brook Physician Assistant Department; stress management tips from Project Hope, who also gave out stress balls donated by Little Angels Center; and a nutrition information table created by South Shore University Hospital.
