Bellport Village is ready for spring, and the merchants on Main hope you are, too, with fresh deals and offerings. Friday nights in March will be March Madness for shopping with extended hours and sales offered at each of the establishments.

“We want to welcome spring and start staying open late on Friday nights,” said Bellport Arts & Framing Studio owner LuAnn Thompson, explaining March Madness. “We want to welcome people with refreshments before they go to dinner to come socialize and shop our sales.”

Thompson plans on offering buy-two-get-one-half-off cards every Friday night, while Dianne Romano from Bellport Jewelers said she will be offering refreshments as well as 50 percent off all pearls from 4 to 7 p.m. Allison Hollmann, owner of Summer Salt, said every week will be different deals with percentages off and discounted merchandise. And each week, Alison Buck, owner of TOLA., will post a different March Madness sale on their Instagram.

“TOLA., along with the Bellport Chamber of Commerce, is super excited to be part of the March Madness collaboration—it’s a great way to celebrate the start of spring in Bellport,” Buck said.

Pamela Lerner Home & Design is celebrating 18 years in Bellport and will be offering an international ceramic sale with 40 to 60 percent off every Friday. The pieces, according to Lerner, are highly collectable and dwindling in stock.

“Everybody is welcome; there will be refreshments for children and adults,” she said, hoping people will come down. “There are always little surprises for the kids.” Refreshments will be served from 4 to 7 p.m.
Participating businesses include: Brewport, Summer Salt, TOLA., Bellport Arts & Framing Studio, Cupcakes Galore, Bellport Jewelers and Pamela Lerner & Home. The event will run every Friday through the month from 4 to 7 p.m. in the village.
