Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian in Bay Shore early Tuesday morning.
Police identified the pedestrian killed as Andrew Taylor, 28, of Bay Shore .
Kevin Marques was driving a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan on westbound Sunrise Service Road, approximately 500 feet west of Atlantic Avenue, when his vehicle struck an adult male, now identified as Taylor, who was in the roadway at approximately 4:15 a.m. Marques, 22, of Centereach, was not injured.
Police said Taylor was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead.
