Patchogue-Medford Hall of Fame announces eighth annual induction class

The Patchogue-Medford Hall of Fame is thrilled to announce its eighth annual Induction Ceremony. This special event will recognize outstanding individuals and groups who have made significant contributions to either Patchogue-Medford Schools, their community, or their profession. Hall of Fame Day will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025, at the Patchogue-Medford High School, Navy (SEAL) Lt. Michael Murphy Campus, on Buffalo Avenue, in Medford.   

This year’s group of outstanding candidates includes a World War II veteran and former village mayor, a former Navy SEAL, two athletic All-Americans, avid community volunteers and a first responder/state legislator.  Additionally, a former school district administrator and a county championship basketball team round out the list of inductees.

The Patchogue-Medford Hall of Fame Class of 2025 includes: 

  • James Cassel (PHS Class of 1955), All-American High School Football Player
  • Michael Cirigliano (PMHS Class of 2000), Community Business Owner and Philanthropist
  • Joseph DeStefano (PMHS Class of 1978), NY State Legislator and former First Responder
  • Cheryl Felice (PMHS Class of 1975), Community Volunteer 
  • Robert Figueira (PHS Class of 1968), All- American Collegiate and High School Track Athlete
  • Paul Hauser (PM Educator), Former Music Teacher and District Administrator
  • John Hawley (PMHS Class of 1982), Former US Navy SEAL
  • Dr. Wallace Marshall (PMHS Class of 1986), Award Winning Research Scientist, Biochemistry and Biophysics
  • Robert Waldbauer (PHS Class of 1940), World War II Veteran, Past Mayor of Patchogue Village
  • 1925 Boys Varsity Basketball Team, Long Island Champions:

The Hall of Fame needs the community’s help to identify the first names of Mr. Chiuchiolo and Mr. Patton.  If any family or friends are still local and would like to attend the dinner and ceremony, please contact the Hall of Fame.  

Annually, the Patchogue-Medford Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony promises to be a memorable event showcasing “Pat-Med pride” and admiration for our honorees. We invite you to join us in celebrating their achievements. The ceremony will begin at 6:45 p.m. in the Patchogue-Medford High School auditorium. A dinner will be held at 5 p.m. at Patchogue-Medford High School before the ceremony. The Patchogue-Medford Hall of Fame is a 503(c) volunteer organization that seeks to promote our community and bring it together through our collective “Patchogue-Medford pride.” The Hall of Fame recognizes and honors those Patchogue-Medford graduates and community members, who have made a positive impact while attending Patchogue-Medford High School and continue to have a positive influence on others in their communities. The “past is always present” in Patchogue-Medford, as we partner in educational endeavors with current school students to teach future career possibilities and community pride through the storied histories of our own alumni.
