After much consideration and monitoring of multiple weather forecasts, the Patchogue Chamber has made the decision to postpone the Patchogue Italian Feast of St. Liberata, scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, September 7.
The St. Liberata Festival will now be held on our prescheduled rain date: Saturday, September 14.
"This was not an easy decision as the timing of when rain is expected tomorrow has wavered all week, but at this time it seems certain rain will move through Patchogue at some point between 2-5 p.m., and right in the middle of this event, which would hamper all the outdoor entertainment we have planned," said executive director David Kennedy. "We will now host this wonderful event on our rain date of Saturday, September 14. Expect all the same great food, entertainment and activities we had planned for tomorrow to happen on our rain date. Right now, the forecast for September 14 is a beautiful mostly sunny day. We look forward to celebrating Patchogue’s rich Italian heritage on September 14! See you then!"
