The FBI of Denver said on Friday, January 21, that a notebook found near the body of Brian Laundrie in Florida contained statements by slain Gabby Petito's boyfriend, "claiming responsibility for Ms. Petito’s death."
The FBI went on to say that the investigation "will be closed in the near future."
Petito's parents met with the FBI in Tampa on Thusday, the FBI said.
