The festival will take place on Saturday June 10, from noon to 9 p.m., and Sunday June 11, from 1 to 9 p.m. The event will include multiple Irish bands including the local favorite Bangers and Mash as well as well-known Irish bands including The Prodigals, Andy Cooney, Mclean Avenue Band, The Irish Brigade, Screaming Orphans, The Amadans, Clear the Battlefield, Mick Thomas MC, The Sporting Paddies and School of Rock from Sayville. There will also be the Fenian Brothers, The Bob Morris Irish Band, Susan & Gerard, pipers, dancers and food and drink. The event will take place at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, located on North Ocean Avenue in Patchogue. Entry to the event is $20; children under 12 are free.
According to Fr. Henry Reid, this is the second Irish Festival the church has hosted and they selected June as not to interfere with other Irish events. The event was supposed to first take place in 2020, but was knocked back due to COVID. Even though the inaugural festival broke even last year, the hope is to use the event as a fundraiser for the parish, which is in need of an HVAC system as well as upkeep and repairs.
