A 28-year-old Wyandanch woman was pronounced dead by a physician assistant from the county’s medical examiner office following a single-vehicle crash on Montauk Highway in Oakdale on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 17.
Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are currently investigating the accident.
Nyree Walker was driving a 2016 Honda Civic eastbound on Montauk Highway when she lost control of the vehicle and then struck a tree at approximately 12:35 p.m.
