Family fun shared with the police and community

The SCPD invites residents to join them for a night of family-friendly fun on Tuesday, Aug. 6, while taking a stand against crime in our communities during National Night Out!

Events at each of the seven precincts will include food, entertainment, games, and the chance to explore police and other first responder vehicles. The Third Precinct will meet at Roberto Clemente Park, located at 400 Broadway, Brentwood, from 6 to 10 p.m.

National Night Out culminates annually on the first Tuesday in August. The event enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement, while bringing back a true sense of community. The event provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

“The members of the Suffolk County Police Department are looking forward to joining the community during our National Night Out events happening in each of the seven precincts. This annual community-building campaign enhances the relationship between our department and the residents we serve,” said Suffolk County Police acting commissioner Robert Waring.

“These events help turn an ordinary day into one with food, games and other activities that bring positive outcomes and stronger connections with people of all ages. I encourage everyone to join us on Aug. 6.”
