Islip High School’s varsity girls soccer team earned the title of Suffolk County champions with a 1-0 victory over Sayville on April 24.
The game-winning goal was scored by freshman Carly Herrington, putting the second-seeded Lady Bucs on top of No. 4 seed Sayville.
Goalie Kaeli McAnally made 12 saves in the Class A finals contest, held at North Babylon High School.
