Local libraries are a great place to spend time during the summer. They’re a place to cool off, relax, and enjoy some great programming. Teen Program, Summer Reading Club Party

Celebrate the end of summer and all of your hard work from the summer reading club with a party! Enjoy a night of fun with raffle prize drawings and pizza/snacks!
Captree Fishing Excursion
Saturday, Aug. 13, 12 – 4 p.m.
Fee: $59 per person. Registration begins Wednesday, July 6 at 6:30 p.m., registration ends Monday, Aug. 8 at 12 p.m.
Enjoy a day of fishing on the Bay Princess. Meet at the dock at Captree State Park at 11:30 a.m. The boat will depart at 12 p.m. for a four-hour excursion. The fishing trip includes use of fishing poles, bait, lunch, and gratuity for the crew. Please note that parking will be $10 per car.
Outdoor Concert: Songs of Summer
Tuesday, July 19, 7 – 8 p.m.
Enjoy a musical tribute concert on the lawn featuring songs that have made summers hot over the decades! Performed by the Vic Vincent Group, enjoy songs including: “Hot, Hot, Hot,” “California Dreaming,” “Blue Hawaii,” “California Girls,” and much more! In the event of inclement weather, this program will be held inside our Community Room.
Family Movie Night Kits
Take home a favorite DVD, microwave popcorn, and an activity that the whole family can do together.

A History of Winemaking
Thursday, July 21 7 – 8:30 p.m.
Fee: $35 per person
Come for a fun night out at Fire Island Vines in Bay Shore. You will learn about different kinds of wines and the history of winemaking. The class will conclude with a tasting flight that will include four wines: two white, one rose, and one red wine. The cost of the program includes the lecture, wine tasting, and a charcuterie cup. A discount will be offered for anyone interested in purchasing bottles of wine.
