On Wednesday, Sept. 1, the Town of Islip kicked off Opioid Awareness Month and the third annual Islip Goes Purple campaign. For the month of September, the Islip Town cupola will be aglow in the color purple while merchants, businesses, and residents will display purple lights, lawn signs, and bows to show their support.
