East Islip senior Jenna Rigo signs to play lax for Dominican

East Islip High School senior Jenna Rigo signed a national letter of intent on May 18 to continue her lacrosse career this fall at Dominican College of Blauvelt, where she will major in sports management.

Rigo earned All-County designation playing defense for East Islip’s lacrosse squad. An accomplished three-sport athlete, she was also named All-Conference in basketball and Honorable Mention All-County in field hockey.

East Islip senior Molly Magnifico signs to play field hockey at Mercy College

East Islip High School senior Molly Magnifico signed a national letter of intent on May 23 to continue her field hockey career this fall at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, where she will major in the pre-physician assistant program.

A goalie for the Lady Redmen, Magnifico helped get the team to the Suffolk County Class B championship game, earning five shutout games during the regular season. During her East Islip field hockey career, she was named a Scholar-Athlete four times. Magnifico, an AP Scholar, is a member of the East Islip’s National Honor Society, Science Honor Society, Foreign Language Honor Society and Tri-M Music Honor Society.
