The Junior Gold National Bowling Championship held in Grand Rapids, Mich., was an incredible success for Kailyn Bloch of East Islip. This year she finished in third place competing against the top girls across the country at the U15 level. Bloch fought her way through 26 games in five days to qualify in the match play bracket. In the first match, she lost, which placed her in the elimination bracket, where she tied one of the best bowlers in the country. Bloch won that match in a one-ball roll-off. She didn’t stop there. Bloch then went on to win all four additional matches against some incredible bowlers to reach the TV finals.
