The hardest part right now?
“Keeping the public informed and making sure they wear their mask— that’s the biggest problem,” Sarno said of the current issues with summer outdoor and reduced-capacity indoor dining options.
But as for the entire lockdown, he said, “It has been being able to pay my bills and keep my employees employed.”
His hopes for the future of dining?
“It’s getting back to normal, if there is a normal,” he said. “We can’t keep operating at 50 percent if we want to survive.”
