Members of Boy Scout Troop 184 in Sayville created a silhouette of a soldier praying while standing next to a cross outside the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 433 on Lakeland Avenue.

Alexis Weik said. “As part of their Star Scout requirements, they planned and installed a permanent silhouette memorial of a soldier in prayer beside a battlefield cross, which represents a meaningful, long-lasting tribute to support and honor all our servicemen and women—past, present, and future.”
