Monday, Sept. 5, Labor Day, there were reports of a large boat beached at the new inlet just west of Smith Point Park. Local photographer Stephen Borghardt snapped these drone shots of the boat. Rumors have it that the boater beached the boat as he was taking on water, and it seems as though everyone made it off okay. However, the SCPD Marine Division had no information on the incident, stating that usually individuals typically tow their own vessels.
