Lightning sometimes does strike twice! On back-to-back days, the boys varsity and girls varsity 4x400-meter relay teams set new school records at the New York State Championship qualifying meets.
The boys team of Terrell Collum, Isaiah Taylor, Tyri Hubbard and Matteo Higueros, did it first with a time of 3:26.04 seconds, shattering the previous mark set in 2021 by more than two seconds.
Then, the next day, the girls team of Brianna Smith, Angelle Sainteus, Destiny Samuels and Zariel Macchia ran a 4:05.37, setting a new record of their own and shattering the previous record set in 2012 by more than two and a half seconds.
Congratulations to both teams!
