20th annual Walk for a Guide Dog

SPONSORSHIPS: Diamond $2,000 / Platinum $1,000 / Gold $500 / Silver $250 / Bronze $100 / Brass $50 Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze sponsors will allow them to display predominately and boldly their name on our walkers’ T-shirts. $50 sponsors will have their names displayed at the registration table.

The Patchogue Lioness Lions Foundation will be hosting their 20th annual Walk for a Guide Dog on Sunday, May 19 at 9 a.m., rain or shine. All the proceeds will go to sponsor a puppy at the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind in Smithtown.

The 2-mile walk will be through Patchogue Village, beginning and ending at the Patchogue Elk’s Club, 14 Oak Street, where a continental breakfast will be served. The mission is to raise the needed funds to sponsor their 38th puppy.

This year’s honoree is Mike Cirigliano, owner of Cirigliano Insurance & Financial Services. Cirigliano is one of the driving forces behind the founding of GiGi’s Playhouse Long Island. He has dedicated his time, talents, and energy to build and grow a community of awareness and acceptance for all. GiGi’s Playhouse is a Down syndrome achievement center that offers 100 percent free programs/services from prenatal through adulthood and is 99 percent volunteer run. Cirigliano also serves as corresponding secretary of the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce, is a dedicated Rotarian member, chairs the Patchogue Family Fun Committee, and is very involved in coaching in the local Little League sports.
